Learning to Play Guitar On Your Own

I have been playing guitar for 15 years. I have found that practice really does make for perfection, the problem is that after awhile you will find yourself bored or even frustrated due to your choice of study material. The best thing to do is to find more material that is both exciting and challenging. Through the use of the Internet I have found many use full sites from which you can find material to increase your knowledge whether you are just starting out or been playing for awhile, there is plenty of material available for one to keep learning or to start learning, which ever the case may be. I strongly suggest that if you are a beginner that your focus on reading guitar sheet music from the start, whether it be standard notation or tab form, that way it becomes second nature right from the start. I only say this because from my own experience I found out the hard way, I tried to learn after I had already been playing for awhile, by then its almost as hard as teaching an old dog new tricks. Until next time keep rocking and learning.
